The place on Bonin Road
The casino stands on the former Sudbury Downs racetrack site in Chelmsford, a community of the City of Greater Sudbury. It opened on November 26, 1999, as OLG Slots at Sudbury Downs. The last day of live harness racing was October 30, 2013. The 2014 season was cancelled, and no racing has run since. Gateway Casinos & Entertainment took over day-to-day operation in May 2017.

At the door
The minimum age is 19, and each guest shows valid photo ID from a government. A guest 21 or younger also needs another ID document bearing their name. A person self-excluded or trespassed at this casino, or at any Ontario gaming property, is not permitted to visit.
