Sources Behind Gateway Casinos Sudbury Pages

Every card on this site starts as a fact with a source, checked by the Bonin Road desk before it is written up. This page sets out which sources count, what the guide marks as not published and what it leaves out.

01

Where the facts come from

For the casino at 400 Bonin Road, the starting point is the casino's own pages. The live site blocks automated reading, so the desk reads them through Internet Archive copies. Gateway's corporate pages and news releases cover who runs the casino and when that changed. On Ontario rules, the cards draw on four bodies: the AGCO, OLG, ConnexOntario and iGaming Ontario.

News reports supply the racetrack's history, up to the last live race in 2013. OpenStreetMap supplies the map points used for distances. The desk checked every fact on October 13, 2026. Each card rests on one of these sources, or it is not written.

02

What stays not published

When a source does not publish something, the card says not published instead of guessing. Three gaps come up often. Champions, the casino's restaurant, has no published hours and no published place in the building. No holiday schedule is published, so the casino has to be phoned for those hours. Table minimums for the six live tables are also not published.

The guide does not fill a gap with an estimate or a figure from memory. A blank answer stays blank until a source fills it.

03

Distances, pictures and languages

The cards measure distance as a straight line between the casino and an OpenStreetMap town point, not along roads. Azilda, for example, sits 4.7 km away. The casino lies 16 km northwest of the Sudbury city point. Roads are longer than these lines. Driving times are not estimated anywhere on the site.

Three pictures show the casino: the roadside sign on Bonin Road and two views among the slot machines. The generator built them from real photographs of the Bonin Road casino, then moved the camera and changed the hour. The lake at dawn, the old track rail and the kitchen timer were also generated; none of the three shows the casino. No picture on the site is a photograph, and no person appears in any of them. The guide has an English and a French version, and both carry the same answers.

04

Money and independence

The guide is an independent one, separate from both Gateway Casinos and OLG. It handles no bets, and there are no accounts to open. Signing is collective: the Bonin Road desk, with no named author.

Paid links, each tagged Ad, sit only on the home page: in the menu, under the first screen and near its end. All of them go to a privately operated online casino partner that this guide leaves unnamed and that may be replaced. This guide receives a commission for those links and does not vet the partner. Before using an online casino, readers should search the iGaming Ontario directory, igamingontario.ca, for it. No link to OLG, the province, the casino or a help service is ever paid.
